Once again we have been faced with a few disappointed people who have missed the deadline, both regular deadlines and a few early deadlines too. When a deadline is missed, it's missed, and we cannot hold up production anymore than we can reprint a paper to "add just one more story." Out of necessity, our deadlines are absolute!
The deadline for submitting articles and stories for the Great Neck Record is Monday mornings at 10 a.m. If there is an outstanding reason (such as a holiday) when we must have an earlier deadline, the early deadline date and time is published, in advance, generally on Page 1 or 2.
Deadlines are absolute! In order for the entire production schedule for the Record, and the other 17 Anton newspapers, to run smoothly, to make it to the post office on time and have your newspaper in your hands on time, we absolutely must stick to our exact deadlines.
Please bear this in mind when you submit your press releases. And please remember that if you miss the deadline, unfortunately, we cannot publish your news.
We look forward to news from each and every one of you. Follow our simple deadline rules and we will all enjoy your news!
