The Great Neck Park District's skate school at the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink at the Parkwood Sports Complex will be offering a Holiday Figure Skating Camp from Monday, Feb. 16 through Friday, Feb. 20 from 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There are two options (beginner or advanced) of full day camps for skaters, ages 6 and up. The classes are taught by professional instructors and are held in accordance with the Ice Skating Institute curriculum. The Beginner Skating Camp will teach basic elements of skating, off-ice class, on-ice games, free skate with friends and arts & crafts. The Advanced Skating Camp is structured for Gamma level skaters and above. This program is more intense and designed for the more serious skater who is interested in learning new elements and advanced skills.
Park District residents can sign up by the day ($90) or for the full week ($400). Out-of-district registrants pay an additional fee. Lunch is not included. Call 487-2975, ext. 114 for further information.
