Norma Reiner passed away on Nov. 15, 2008 at her home in Laguna Hills , CA. She and her husband, the late Jules Reiner, were residents of Great Neck for many years. She was the director of the North Shore Community Arts Center in Great Neck for 20 years during which time she enriched the lives of thousands of children and adults. The center, under her guidance, became a beacon for the arts on Long Island. On retiring, she and her husband moved to the Berkshires where she found a venue for her special talents as co-director of "Backstage at the Berkshires," a Queens college summer program celebrating the performing arts. For Norma, a talented pianist herself, the arts were central to her life. "She was an inspiration to all those who came in contact with her," said her sister Joy Eiten. "She was a presence who will be missed by her family, her children, grandchildren and everyone who knew her."

Rena H. Lulov of New City, NY died on Nov. 16, 2008. She was 69. Rena was born in the Bronx and moved her family to Great Neck, where she lived for many years and launched her career as a real estate broker and principal of Rena Lulov Realty. She later moved to New City. She was a talented artist.

She is survived by loving children, daughter Patricia Feldman and her husband Michael of Suffern, NY, and son Richard Lulov and his wife Fran of Upper Saddle River, NJ, and cherished grandchildren, Monica, Jared, Samantha and Allison.
