The Village of Great Neck Plaza proudly announces it's 24th Annual Great Neck Plaza Street Festival, coming to town on Sunday, Sept. 21, noon to 5 p.m. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the day, with something for everyone. Of course the vintage cars, the "clothesline" art show, and the antiques fair are the most popular features of the day, along with fun for the children as well.

Said Great Neck Plaza Mayor Jean Celender: "The Village of Great Neck Plaza is delighted to continue this tradition of an annual street fair. Since its inception, this "Great Event," as it was first known, has been our way of giving thanks to the community for supporting our downtown and the extraordinary shopping and community life that we have here."
Over 150 classic, antique, collectible, domestic and foreign cars are expected to be on display, up and down Middle Neck Road in the bustling downtown. These antique cars are one of the highlights of the event. The autos will range from early Model As and Ts to vintage Buicks and Cadillacs to classic Jaguars and Bentleys.
The clothesline art show will feature the artwork of both amateur and semi-professional artists. These artists will feature their work of oil, acrylic, watercolor, prints, sculptures and photographs along Middle Neck Road and will be available for purchase.
Children and adults can all enjoy the fun attractions that are geared especially for families. All during the day there will be carnival rides and games, hayrides, pony rides and a petting zoo. Face-painters, magicians, and an Elvis impersonator will all be at the festival, providing extra entertainment.
This event, which draws a crowd of thousands, showcases the best that Great Neck has to offer. Everyone involved, the village and the BID (Business Improvement District), emphasize that this celebration "brings to life the heart of the community and pays retribution to the community for supporting our downtown shopping and continuing to make Great Neck a thriving community."
The event will take place throughout Great Neck Plaza including Bond Street, Great Neck Road, Middle Neck Road, Maple Drive, Grace Avenue, Cedar Drive, North Station Plaza and Cutter Mill Road on Sunday, Sept. 21. As always, there is no charge to attend the festival --- just come and enjoy.
