The Levels teen center at the Great Neck Library, in cooperation with the Great Neck Park District, invites Great Neck area residents to join Levels' teen artists, musicians, and filmmakers for an evening of outdoor entertainment in the Village Green on Saturday evening, Aug. 9. Levelspalooza, an outdoor festival of music and art, begins at 6 p.m. The film festival begins at about 9 p.m. This is an all ages event and admission is free. Levelspalooza features local teen bands including: Shapes, Straight Up, and Piercing Silence. Art and activities include an innovative environmental design, arts and crafts, face painting/body art and outdoor games.

Then, as the sun sets, audiences are invited to turn their attention to the third Annual Levels Film Festival shown on the Park District's enormous inflatable screen. Student filmmakers from all over the Great Neck School District will present short films including: Dead End, conceived by Jessica Schildkraut, Sick Hate, by Denysson Arboleda, MindMaze, with work by Ethan Debahar, Tetris: the Movie, by Max Sornik, The Village School Festival of the Arts: the Documentary, by Fred Cohen, and Levels Kung Fu Explosion!, a series of films by the Levels' ninja squad, among others. Relax on blankets and lawn chairs and check out the work of Levels' innovative filmmakers.
