This coming Tuesday, May 20, is the day to cast your vote for our school budget. School district elections are from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m., with polls open at the E. M. Baker Elementary School and the William A. Shine-South High School. And along with a vote for the school budget, you will have the opportunity to further support the schools by voting to re-elect board of education trustees Lawrence R. Gross and Susan Miner-Healy, both running unopposed.
Each year this community turns out with an overwhelming percentage of votes in support of the Great Neck Public Schools' budget. And although we certainly anticipate that this positive pattern will continue, we believe in leaving nothing to chance, and we urge each and every registered voter to turn out on May 20 to vote ''yes'' for our schools and for our children.
If our children are our future, then what better way to ensure the best future for everyone than by supporting education! And the very best education is right here in the Great Neck Public Schools!
Please vote for our school budget on May 20!
