Sylvia Schwartz, 93 of Keansburg, NJ, died on April 28, 2008 at Bayside Manor Keansburg NJ. She lived in Keansburg for three years and was previously from Great Neck for 50 years. She was born in New York City and was a member of Temple Beth-el.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Barbara Schwartz from Texas, son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Debby Schwartz from New Jersey; grandchildren: Tom, Bob, Jonathan and Lisa Schwartz; and brother Seymour Shapiro from Maryland.

She graduated Hunter College of New York, loved reading, family, friends, music, art, travel, great jokes and most of all her children, daughters- in-law and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Seymour Schwartz in 2005 and her older brother Morty Shapiro.

A graveside service was held May 4 at New Montefiore Cemetery Great Neck. The John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, NJ, was in charge of arrangements. Letters of condolence may be e-mailed to Condolences@pflegerfuneralhome.com.
