Max Frank is a loving, affectionate, and funny 3-year-old who loves chocolate ice cream almost as much as his big brother, Jake. He also loves his sword and can be found sleeping with it on many occasions.

At 9-months of age Max was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma, a life-threatening form of cancer that has required Max to endure numerous procedures, surgeries, and various types of chemotherapy. Max is now 3 and his future remains uncertain as he continues to undergo additional tests based on recent findings.

Gymboree Play & Music at Great Neck at 770 Middle Neck Road in the Old Village has generously committed to hosting a fun-filled play gym fundraiser for Max, complete with toys, games, face painting, refreshments, and fun! Raffle prizes include Mets and Yankees tickets, designer jewelry, handmade quilts, Step 2 toys and games, designer clothing for children and adults, gym memberships, sessions with personal trainers, gourmet chocolates, tons of gift certificates, and more.

The fundraiser will be held on Sunday, May 4, and will consist of three sessions: 1 to 2 p.m.; 2 to 3 p.m.; and 3 to 4 p.m. Tickets to the event are $20 per child and a large portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Max Frank Fund Chai Lifeline.

Please call 466-1308 to register your child to attend one of these exciting and entertaining sessions and help Max to fight this tenacious and persistent disease. To donate to Max's tax deductible, not-for-profit 501c(3) fund, please send your check to: Max Frank Fund Chai Lifeline, PO Box 976, Commack, NY 11725.
