The Great Neck Chamber of Commerce holds its annual awards dinner on Wednesday evening, Jan. 30, at the Officer's Club, Melville Hall, at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point (snow date Thursday, Jan. 31). Honorees include some very hard-working, very dedicated members of the business community. Stuart Lubow, Jeffrey Phillips, Edna Mashaal, Donna Frasco, and Richard Stancati will all receive special awards.
For all of us who live and work in the Great Neck community, we should be aware that our businesses and our Chamber of Commerce are pretty important. The Chamber, its officers, its board, and its members are devoted to keeping this a thriving, successful town for all businesses and all shops. The goal is to keep our stores busy and to continually attract exciting new businesses that will keep the shoppers coming to Great Neck.
Along with our wonderful schools, parks and libraries, our business community is vital to the health of this peninsula. Hand-in-hand with failing downtowns go withering communities ... and shrinking home values.
To insure an exciting and a thriving community, we must all do our part to support our businesses. Shop locally first! And continue your support in any way you can, including coming the Chamber of Commerce dinner to honor those special people who help make this a better place for us all!s
Come and enjoy a wonderful evening and help support your own business community. For tickets call Donna Frasco at 498-9111 (ext. 111), or go online at greatneckchamber. org.
