Workforce Housing Law in Old Village Debated
The public hearing on the establishment of a law in the Village of Great Neck to require below market value units to be set aside for workforce housing in future multi-family buildings constructed or converted was continued into next year to allow for more public input and refining of the language in the bill.

The Great Neck Public Schools Board of Education adopted a new Policy on Staff Identification Badges at a December meeting. Adoption came after a fourth reading, and much discussion at board meetings and at policy committee meetings.

Sam Strausman, 30-Minute Fitness Member of the Year
Sam Strausman, a long-time Great Neck resident and 46-year-old father of three, joined 30-Minute Fitness when the gym first opened in November 1997 and has been an active member ever since. He works out twice a week with a trainer and then spends another thirty minutes on our treadmill.
