Unfortunately, just this past week or so we received quite a few letters and stories that were way past the deadline. So this week we would like to take this opportunity, once again, to remind our readers of our regular deadlines and our early deadlines.

The deadline (for all copy and photos) is 10 a.m. on Monday mornings (for that coming Thursday's issue of the Great Neck Record).

The deadline is firm, as our paper is in production on Tuesdays and is then printed and mailed. It is not possible to add ''just one little item'' once the paper is finished. It's just not possible.

We certainly do appreciate all of the news that we receive here at the Record each week. And we love sharing these stories with the entire community --- that's what we are all about. We feel just terrible when a press release arrives too late.

So, please, let's all enjoy all of the stories and information out there. Remember, our deadline is Monday mornings, 10 a.m. For the occasional weeks when there is a holiday we do set earlier deadlines. All early deadlines are published (generally on page one or two) a week or two in advance. Please watch the paper for early deadlines.
