The Great Neck South High School girls' varsity clubs donated $1,200 to the American Heart Association. This annual 4-on-4 charity volleyball tournament always donates 100 percent of the profits to charity and this year the executive board unanimously voted to make their donation in memory of a beloved teacher, Dana Kimmel, who died suddenly last year of heart disease. Some participants were Carol Nesdill, faculty advisor; Larry Peyser, AHA representative; Maril Yehoudian and Tara Hosseini-Pour, co-presidents of the GVC; and South High Principal Randy Ross.
