This is the official ''back-to-school'' issue for the Great Neck Record, complete with our annual back-to-school message from the Great Neck Public Schools Superintendent of Schools Ron Friedman.

A wonderful new school year awaits each Great Neck student! The buildings are spruced up and ready; teachers, administrators, and staff are well prepared to face the challenges of the 2007-2008 school year.

As the adventures of a new school year begin to unfold, we wish all of our youngsters the wonders of the future and the joy of learning. We urge each and every student to delve into myriad opportunities available in their school. We urge them to enjoy all of these amazing ways to expand their horizons.
