On Monday, Sept. 17 the Testaverde Fund for Spinal Cord Injury, Inc. will host its Eighth Annual Spinal Victory Challenge Golf Outing and Dinner at the Woodmere Country Club, followed by a cocktail hour, dinner, raffles and door prizes including a luxurious Caribbean trip donated by Super Clubs Resorts and Liberty Travel of Bay Shore. The event will also feature a hole-in-one contest sponsored by Bast Chevrolet of Wantagh.
This year's honoree will be Fox 5 News reporter, Linda Schmidt, winner of five Emmy's for outstanding investigative and consumer-related reporting. An avid runner, Linda became involved with the Testaverde Fund two years ago, after running in the Race for Spinal Victory, and has since been an invaluable advocate for the cause.
The annual event is in support of the Testaverde Fund for Spinal Cord Injury's efforts to fund spinal cord injury research as well as critical community and family outreach and spinal cord injury education programs. For information and registration, contact golf@testaverdefund.org or call Joe Petrella at 458-4623. To learn more about the Testaverde Fund visit www.testaverdefund.org.
Come out, enjoy a full breakfast buffet, play a round of golf, and relax with cocktails and dinner following the event while supporting the Testaverde Fund for Spinal Cord Injury, Inc.
