More than 130 Nassau BOCES employees will run, jog or walk in this year's Marcum & Kliegman LLP Workplace Challenge being held on July 31, at Jones Beach State Park. The 3.5-mile challenge brings together employees from Nassau BOCES 20 sites and 130 programs, as well as major corporations across Long Island.
"We call it the largest family picnic on Long Island," said Mindy Davidson, Nassau BOCES vocational rehabilitation counselor and event director for the Workplace Challenge. "It's fun being down at the beach with thousands of people from various companies --- it really builds team spirit."
This year's event also raises money that will benefit the Long Island Children's Museum (LICM) and The Children's Medical Fund of New York.
