Following the monstrous July 18 rainstorm, we received many photographs, great storm photos taken by our readers. Thank you to each and every one who took the time to catch a great shot and send it along to the Great Neck Record. We appreciate them all.
Most of the photos are terrific; a few were too dark or a bit hazy, but all were amazing and interesting shots. And, yes, believe it or not, we did receive some duplicates. Flooded streets and the incredible "waterfall" at the Long Island Rail Road station in downtown Great Neck Plaza were the subject of many submissions. We had a difficult time making choices.
We always welcome interesting or unusual snapshots. We will always try our very best to publish all the great shots that come to us.
Thank you again to everyone who sent us storm photos and we encourage you to keep your community newspaper in mind when you come across another memorable "picture."
