School District Introduces SEAL Program
Beginning this coming September, as the Great Neck Public Schools reopen for the 2007-2008 school year, a new program will be introduced --- the SEAL Program. Described by Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction Terry Horowitz as a "supportive environment for all learning," the program was presented at a recent board of education meeting.

Three Villages Set for June 19 Elections
(Editor's Note: As with all village elections, immediately following the last date to file a petition to run for office, the Great Neck Record contacts each village's clerk/treasurer, asking for the names of the candidates. And, as well, we ask that the village contact each candidate, asking for a biography, a photograph, and a statement as to why the candidate is running for office. Some villages, and some candidates, do comply. In the weeks to come, we will publish all such election materials.)

Tikva: Hope Springs Eternal for Odessa’s Jewish Children
On a warm, beautiful Sunday afternoon, April 22, friends and families from Great Neck's Temple Beth-El, Temple Israel and Roslyn's Temple Sinai came together to celebrate the second annual International Mitzvah Walk of Hope to benefit the Tikva Children's Centers in Odessa, Ukraine, and the Jewish children they serve.
