New York Islanders' goaltender, Rick DiPietro, the 2007 chairman of Island Harvest's Coin Harvest Campaign, is urging all Long Island schoolchildren to participate in the fundraising effort to raise money to help Island Harvest end hunger and eliminate food waste on Long Island. The Developmental Disabilities Institute, Long Island's leading service provider for adults and children with autism and other developmental disabilities is teaming up with the New York Islanders ice hockey team to help raise awareness and funds for autism. The second annual DDI Family Night with the Islanders will take place on Saturday, Feb. 17 at Nassau Coliseum.
