Freshman midfielder Clint Foster was named to the Skyline Conference Honor Roll for his performance in guiding the United States Merchant Marine Academy Soccer Mariners to a 2-0 regular season finale win over Centenary College a week ago Saturday.

Foster's three points coming off one goal and assist preserved a semi-final home match in the upcoming Skyline Conference playoffs. With the win, Merchant Marine concluded the regular season with a 13-3-1 overall mark and 8-1 ledger in league play.

Seniors Kyle Flynn and Joseph Halverson continue to be ranked among individual statistical leaders in the conference. Flynn remains tied for first in game-winners (4), while Halverson ranks first in both shutouts (8) and shutouts per game (.50) and second in goals against average (0.79) and save percentage (.821).

As a unit, the Mariners slipped to second in scoring defense and fourth in scoring offense.
