Town of North Hempstead Business and Tourism Development Corporation Executive Director Leslie Gross announced that the BTDC would hold its inaugural golf outing at the Harbor Links Golf Course in Port Washington on Monday, Oct. 16. Gross said: "I'm pleased to announce this event, and even more pleased that we will use this opportunity to honor Anne Prokop, the Principal of the Greek American Institute and a well-known philanthropist. Since the BTDC will reinvest all of the profits from this outing back into North Hempstead's communities through beautification and revitalization grants," Gross added, "this is a great opportunity for those who like to play golf to enjoy a wonderful day at a world-class facility while at the same time making a contribution to our town's communities."

Executive Director Gross urges all those who might be interested in playing golf on the Oct. 16, simply attending the dinner at 6 p.m., or in sponsoring the event, to call her at 869-7614.
