Flynn's two-goal performance last Wednesday versus St. Joseph's helped lift USMMA past a feisty flock of Golden Eagles. The Poughquag, New York native broke a 1-all tie in the 50th minute for the game-winner, and followed that up with the insurance tally four minutes later.
Flynn ranks first in the conference in game-winners (3), sixth in goals per game (0.57) and is tied for tenth with freshman Ryan Hadley in points per game (1.14). Junior David Poulnot and sophomore Brad Silveira are tied for fifth in assists per game (0.33). Meanwhile, senior goalkeeper Joseph Halverson continues to rank first in shutouts (4) and shutouts per game (0.67). He is second in goals against average (0.70) and third in save percentage (.852).
As a unit, the Mariners rank first in the conference in scoring defense (0.57 goals allowed per game) and are tied for second in scoring offense with a 2.57 goals per game average.
