Jay Ferkin, of Great Neck Plaza, died on Aug. 29, 2006 at North Shore, Glen Cove. He was a self-employed psychologist, trustee for Great Neck Plaza and co-op board president Claridge Corp. Husband of Helene and the late Jacqueline. Father of Susan Ellen Berkowitz (with Kevin Forcino) and Linda Ferkin (with husband Harvey Bellman). Stepfather of Jeffrey Friedman (Lily Safani), Scott Friedman (Ruth Perry). Grandfather of Holly, Leor, Yael, Alexandra and Nathalie. Arrangements were made by Riverside-Nassau North Chapels, Great Neck. Services held on Sept. 1 with Rabbi Robert Widdom officiating.
