Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi met with representatives from various Nassau-based organizations that will benefit from the LI2 Day Breast Cancer Walk, scheduled for June 3 and 4. Pictured at the kick-off at Southwest Airlines Terminal at MacArthur Airport (l. to r.): Dr. Mary Curtis, deputy county executive for health and human services; Linda Hart of Sisters of Greater NY and LI; County Executive Tom Suozzi; Joanne Shigo of Adelphi University; Karen Loeffler of The Maurer Foundation; and Susan Thompson of the Manhasset Women's Coalition Against Breast Cancer. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness and funding for the fight against breast cancer on Long Island. This will be a two day, 35 mile walk throughout Suffolk County.
