Albert C. Chang, of Great Neck, died on Jan. 7, 2006. Beloved husband of Lita Wou. Loving father of the late Laura Lynne. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 4 at the CommunityChurch, 2 Stoner Ave., Great Neck. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the church. Dr. Sidney M. Samis died peacefully on Jan. 8, 2006 at the age of 88. Doctor, hospital administrator, public health advocate, humanitarian and inventor, WWII combat veteran, lifelong peace activist and lover of the arts. A man of ideas whose actions contributed to the public good. He moved to Great Neck with is young family in 1951, living in Kings Point until 1983, when he moved to nearby Bayside. He is survived by his beloved companion Dorothy Setbon of Great Neck; daughter Jill Woller; son Robert Samis and his wife Vida Leong; son Peter Samis and his partner Mary Curtis Ratcliff; nephew Mark Samis (Debbie); four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A memorial gathering took place on Jan. 15 at the Great Neck Arts Center. Contributions may be made to Alley Pond Environmental Center, 228-06 Northern Blvd., Douglaston, NY 11363.
