The presidents of eight colleges and universities have announced the formation of a new NCAA Division III athletics conference. The members of the new conference will compete in all sports other than football. The conference, yet to be named, will begin competition in the fall of 2007. FULL STORY

Great Neck South High School seniors Geoffrey R. Gouterman and Jessica Rush have been selected by their school's physical education department as the "outstanding physical education student of the year." The students are being recognized by the Nassau Zone of the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education Recreation and Dance.
