Golfers will have the chance to win a $35,000 powerboat while teeing off against child abuse and neglect at Child Abuse Prevention Services, (CAPS) Seventh Annual Charity Golf Outing at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 8 at the Tam O'Shanter Club in Brookville.
Fred Chall Marine in Freeport is providing a red Monterey 214 as the prize for the outing's hole-in-one contest; according to Fred Chall the boat is valued at $35,000.
CAPS Seventh Annual Charity Golf Outing starts with registration and brunch at 11:30 a.m.; a shotgun start is scheduled for 1 p.m. with cocktails and a buffet dinner scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $400 per golfer; those seeking to attend only the cocktail party and dinner can do so for $100 per person.
