The Great Neck Public Schools Board of Education is in the process of considering advance repayment of bonds, with the end result being a considerable savings of money. The proposed process could save the school district $900,000.

Maestro David Wiley is admired as one of the most inspiring podium personalities and dynamic young music directors in America. In demand as a guest conductor, pianist and composer, Dr. Wiley has conducted top professional orchestras throughout the U.S. and his music has taken him to dozens of countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa. In addition to his continuing presence as Music Director and Conductor of the Long Island Philharmonic, Wiley continues as Music Director of the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra in Virginia, as well as Artistic Director of the Wintergreen Summer Music Festival.

Cleats Finish With a Victory
On a beautiful Father's Day morning, the Great Neck Cleats (Girls U-13) won their fifth straight game, defeating the Glen Cove Crusaders, 3-1. The Cleats final record of 7-3 was good enough for third place out of the 11 teams in their division, only one point out of second place.

Great Neck Youth in Hall of Fame
Great Neck Native Alex Winiarski captured the Soccer Hall of Fame's Schwan Cup in Oneonta, New York. Alex and his team-mates were representing the U-11 Boys Long Island Rough Riders youth development prgram.
