From Morgan Park Beach and the tranquil Long Island Sound on the North Shore, to Long Beach and the vast and exhilarating Atlantic Ocean on the South Shore, the plethora of beaches located in Nassau County allow visitors to relax and enjoy fun in the sun.

In addition to its exquisite beaches, Nassau County offers some of the finest preserves in the country. Eisenhower Park, considered Nassau County's own "Central Park," features a Swimming and Diving Center, a jogging path, an athletic field, a miniature golf course, and 16 tennis courts. Even senior citizens can enjoy themselves here, as the park features a Special Activities Center at parking field #8 and outdoor games at parking field #1 just for adults ages 60 and over, including horseshoes, lawn bowling, boccie, and tables for card players.

Nassau County's museums will stir the imaginations of all visitors, adults and children alike. Residents can visit the Cradle of Aviation Museum, where they can learn about Long Island's contributions to aviation history, and attend a spectacular IMAX movie. Residents can also experience the sights and sounds of pre-Civil War Long Island at the Old Bethpage Village Restoration, a 209-acre site containing 51 historic buildings and seven reconstructions.
