McNulty served as head coach for USMMA for the last two seasons, and has been on the school's gridiron staff for the last 13 seasons. For the remainder of the academic year, he will continue to teach his physical education classes at the academy, and will assume additional duties within the athletic department.

Tim Kepple, assistant head coach for the Mariners, has been named USMMA's interim head coach. Additionally, defensive coordinator Shawn Daignault has been named the interim assistant head coach.

USMMA will begin a national search for the head coaching position immediately.
