Louis Scida, 50, died on March 25, 2005. He became a volunteer firefighter at 18. He was elected chief of the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Dept. and was named chief fire marshal for the LIRR in 1998. Eugene M. Brusiloff, of Great Neck, died on March 28, 2005. He was a trombonist who played with the US Air Force Band during the Korean War and with Peter Duchin, Lester Lanin and Meyer Davis in orchestras backing up Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Tony Bennett, among others.
