The Class of 2004-Honors and Awards
An overview of the Great Neck Public Schools Class of 2004 reveals 479 graduates from our three high schools: 225 from North, 241 from South, and 13 from the Village School. Almost 98 percent of the graduates will pursue higher education in either four- or two-year colleges. The remainder historically seeks employment, vocational training, or the Armed Services.

The Class of 2004-New Awards
Five new graduation awards were given this year to students at South and North High Schools. At South, they were the Coca-Cola Scholars Program-Regional Scholarship and the State Comptroller Achievement Award. At North, they were the DeFranco Spagnolo Salon-Day Spa Award, the Doc Mo Creative Spirit Award, and the Liza Jarolum Markus Class of '88 Memorial Award.

Great Neck Golfer Wins Junior World Cup Qualifier
Sixteen-year-old Daniel C. Frankel of Great Neck won the World Junior Golf Cup regional qualifying round (15 through 18-year-old division) played at Virginia Oaks Golf club in Gainesville VA on June 6. He advances to the national finals held at Orlando, FL, later this June.
