Great Neck VOA Signs Mutual Aid Plan
On March 25, the Great Neck Village Officials Association met at the Lake Success Community Center to sign the "Mutual Aid Disaster Preparedness Agreement among the Municipalities located within the Great Neck Peninsula." Jon Kaiman, supervisor of the Town of North Hempstead, signed the document on April 20 after the town board gave approval. The individual nine villages had been working on this agreement for over seven years and had to bring the final draft back to their village board of trustees for their approval prior to signing the document.

USMMA Track at NCAA Championship
The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy outdoor track and field team had an outstanding weekend, as the Mariners set one school record and set numerous personal and season bests while placing 38th (seven points) at the ECAC Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Great Neck Road Runners U12 Travel Soccer Tryouts
The Great Neck Road Runners Soccer Club will be holding tryouts 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday June 18 for boys entering the sixth grade this fall. To qualify your birth date must be on or after Aug. 1, 1992. The club is looking to add up to four dedicated players to a team that has been together since the spring of 2002.
