Great Neck Road: Dealing With Traffic Concerns
Some of the complaints were about motorists who do not yield to pedestrians, about those who speed down Great Neck Road, and about impatient drivers who scream or blow their horn at pedestrians who are not "quick enough." Other comments were about the conditions of the road/sidewalk and traffic signals not allowing enough time to cross.

Private Tutoring: No Quick Decision
As the Great Neck Public Schools board of education addresses a policy on private tutoring by Great Neck faculty, Trustee and Policy Committee Chair Barbara Berkowitz stated that there would not be a vote at the third reading on Dec. 8. ''We will not vote tonight or in the near future,'' she said. ''This is a starting point, just the beginning of a process ... this is a work in progress.''

LI Two Day Walk to Fight Breast Cancer
Metro area women and men are getting ready for the LI 2Day Walk to Fight Breast Cancer. This first-ever on Long Island is a 35-mile fund-raising walk that be held on Saturday and Sunday, June 5 and 6, 2004. The walk will originate in Smith Point County Park, overnight at beautiful Cathedral Pines County Park in Middle Island and end back at Smith Point.
