Old Village Seeking to Extend Moratoriums
Mayor Richard Deem is seeking to extend building moratoriums in the Village of Great Neck for four more months. At the village's Nov. 18 board of trustees meeting, last minute moratorium extension additions to the agenda came as a surprise to the public. Only two were ultimately introduced for consideration at a public hearing on Dec. 16, while the mayor angrily, and abruptly, tabled the moratorium extension regarding residential subdivisions.

Great Neck Hurricanes Division Champions
The U-10 Great Neck Hurricanes Boys Travel Soccer Team won the Nassau East Divisional Championship compiling an impressive record of 7- 1- 1 in its first season of play. The Hurricanes allowed just five goals for the entire season. Congratulations to the Great Neck Hurricanes: Mike West, Kevin Miranda, Chris Joseph, Justin Rodriquez, Ethan Kleinberg, Brett Parket, Jonathan Livers, Alec Bernstein, Dorel Taman, Andrew Greener, Evan Savell, Daniel Belmont, Howard Weiss, Doron Saraf-Kashani, Barry Joseph, Leigh Pilkington, and Roger Savell.
