  • News: Still Seeking a Plan for Steamboat Road

    What to do about the Steamboat Road corridor? Although a developer has presented plans for two-family housing along with other concepts for this stretch of land in the Village of Great Neck, village officials are not yet ready for an official proposal to be offered to the public. The mayor and the board of trustees will be carefully reviewing a detailed document compiled by the developer and then will send the document and their own comments and concerns to the village's consultants (to be reviewed at the expense of the property owner).     On an unseasonably warm Sunday evening of Nov. 2, the U11 Great Neck Road Runners defeated Downtown United Soccer 2-0. With the victory, the Road Runners advanced to the fifth round of the New York State Cup, to be held on April 3, 2004. FULL STORY
