Rona Ramon, the wife of Israel's first astronaut, the late Columbia Space Shuttle payload specialist Ilan Ramon, has agreed to be the keynote speaker at The Great Neck Arts Center's annual journal dinner dance, called "Gala 2003: Flight of Imagination." On the recommendation of the board of commissioners of the Great Neck Water Pollution Control District, the town board of the Town of North Hempstead has announced the appointment of David L. Lurie to fill a vacancy as a commissioner of the Great Neck Water Pollution Control District.
