Recently we have received several phone calls asking if we would accept contributions of original poetry. All were Great Neck residents who thought they might have something to add to the their community newspaper. Well, the answer is ''yes,''we would be delighted.

Just so you know for sure, the editors at the Great Neck Record are always happy to hear from our readers. We welcome contributions of stories and photos, and we just love to read the poems. Our local poets column has turned out to be a surprisingly popular feature and we do try to include some poetry each week.

If you are a poet, please feel free to share your work with your neighbors. We look forward to hearing from you.
