Senior Center Seeks Help From Villages
Facing financial problems as they approach their 50th anniversary, the Great Neck Senior Center has asked the local mayors to come together to work toward a solution to finding a steady flow of income to ensure the future of the senior center. Speaking at the September meeting of the Great Neck Village Officials Association, Senior Center Vice President Mike Levine spoke of honoring the nine mayors at the center's October 2004 anniversary banquet and he explained the center's funding problems.

Lincoln Seeks Park Board Re-election
Bob Lincoln has announced that he will seek a second term as commissioner of the Great Neck Park District. A lifelong resident of Great Neck, he is employed as the deputy superintendent of the Nassau County Vocational Education Board.

North Hempstead Supervisor May Newburger announced plans for the construction of a clubhouse at Harbor Links golf course on Thursday, Sept. 25. "We always intended to build this," she said, "but we didn't want to add to our debt."

Youth and Experience Merge for Great Neck North Girl's Varsity Soccer
When practice started in August for the 2003 Great Neck North Girls Varsity Soccer team Coaches Fiore and Santo really didn't know what the expect. The combination of injury and illness had turned the 2002 season in to a rebuilding year. The Blazers had only won one game and tied one out of 12 matches. Eight seniors had graduated so the coaches were rightfully concerned about the upcoming season.
