The golf outing will honor Leslie and Gary Granoff. The Granoffs have longstanding ties to Temple Beth-El and Great Neck. Both Leslie and Gary grew up in Great Neck and attended South High, from which they graduated in 1965. They married in 1969 after attending college, Gary at George Washington University and Leslie at Moore College of Art. Gary went on to graduate with honors from the George Washington University Law School, after which they returned to Great Neck.
The Granoffs joined Temple Beth-El in 1976 and their three sons, Stephen, Robert and Joshua all had their religious training and Bar Mitzvah at Temple Beth-El.
Gary is a partner in the law firm of Granoff, Walker and Forlenza, PC and is chairman of the board and CEO of Ameritrans Capital. He has served as a trustee of George Washington University since 1998 and as a trustee of Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation since 2000. Gary also served on the Board of Governors of the North Shore Country Club and is active in various committees of these three organizations.
Leslie Granoff has worked as a substitute teacher and full-time assistant teacher at Temple Beth-El, Temple Emanuel and Temple Israel. She has been active in various art therapy and photography programs designed to assist children. Leslie has her own photography business. She donates her time to many charitable causes.
The Granoffs have made many close friends in the Great Neck community. They feel fortunate to be able to call Great Neck "home" and Temple Beth-El their spiritual home.
