Ultimately Fascinating: The New Guide to Great Neck
It will forever go into the annals of local folklore that the new Ultimate Book of Great Neck, Fabled Tales and Fabulous Images conceived, sponsored and funded by the Chamber of Commerce was released the same week that the continuing adventures of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix flew off the shelves. Although the Great Neck book was not ushered in by hype and midnight parties, since it was put together by muggles, (non-wizards, for those who are not addicted to the Potter series), there were a few snags that propelled it into more media attention than anticipated.

'Cancer Center for Kids' 5K Family Fun/Run a Success
With a sunny, 65 degree day expected Sunday morning, May 4 the project coordinators arrived at Jonathan L. Ielpi Park at 5 a.m. to start setting up for the Second Annual "Cancer Center for Kids" 5K Family Fun Walk/Run. Although it was a bit nippy, spirits were soaring, hearts were beaming and everyone worked feverishly to set up the Family Fun Walk/Run for the Cancer Center at Winthrop University Hospital.
