Taste of Great Neck Comes to Town
Get ready for a taste sensation! The Taste of Great Neck returns next month, sponsored by the Great Neck Chamber of Commerce. The festivities begin at 6 p.m. on Monday evening, May 19, at Melville Hall, the Officers' Club at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point.

School Board Gives Lockheed Martin the Go Ahead
The Great Neck Public Schools board of education approved a request by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMC) for permission to place an extraction well and underground pipelines on school district property for the purpose of removing and cleansing contaminated water emanating from Lockheed Martin facilities. The contract permits such remediation wells and pipelines on school district property at the South complex to help halt the plume of contamination that is coming from the Lockheed Martin property and traveling north on the Great Neck peninsula.

The Great Neck Park District's Steppingstone Marina is scheduled to open, weather permitting, on Tuesday, April 15. Mooring at the beautiful Steppingstone Marina is available only to park district residents with mooring permits.

Ice Skate at Parkwood Rink Extended
The Great Neck Park District's famed Parkwood Rink will be open for ice skating this season up to and including Sunday, April 27. This is a new, extended ice skating season, so there is still plenty of time left to ice skate at Parkwood!
