UCF Dinner Dance Honors Tom DiNapoli
Forget about the weather; spring is just around the corner, and that means that the United Community Fund of Great Neck and North New Hyde Park is busy once again planning their annual dinner dance. Tom DiNapoli, Doug Luba and the Great Neck Senior Center will be the honorees on Sunday, May 4 when the United Community Fund holds their annual dinner dance at Leonard's of Great Neck. Music by the Ken James Orchestra and a silent auction will add to the festivities.

Debate on East Shore Road Rezoning Proposal Expands
The debate on the potential positive and negative impacts on the Great Neck peninsula of the proposed zone change on East Shore Road from commercial to multi-family is broadening. At the third in a series of public hearings on March 4, played to a packed village hall, Mayor Stephen Falk announced some new developments.

Great Neck's Adam Unger at Baseball Training
Great Neck's Adam Unger is training with Rob Steinert at Spring Training Baseball Academy in Deer Park. Unger, 17, will be attending Florida State University this fall on a full athletic/academic scholarship after graduating from Great Neck High School in June.

Six Penn Fencers Names to 2003 All-Ivy Team
The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's fencing teams posted a combined six members on the 2003 All-Ivy team, including first-team nods to junior foil Andrew Radu and freshmen (epee) Jean Goto and (foil) Christina Kaneshige. Junior Jeff Breen (foil), sophomore Emmanuelle Humblet (foil) and freshman Michael Sanders (epee) rounded out the Red and Blue selections on the second team. The men's fencing team captured the program's 12th Ivy League crown (with Columbia) by going 3-1 in the Ancient Eight and 13-3 overall, while the women posted a 14-5 overall record and a 2-3 Ivy mark.
