Lady Rebel Volleyball Champions
Taking Long Island by storm, the girls Great Neck South Rebel varsity volleyball team was ripping up on the courts. With 15 wins, zero losses, and only one loss, the team closed the season practically undefeated, the best record at Great Neck South High School in a long time. Beginning in August with moderate expectations, the Rebels have since shocked most and pleased all with their teamwork, perseverance and love of the game.

Uva's DeMarco Wins Cayman Island 5K Open Water Race
Competing as a member of the US Open Water National Team, Virginia fourth-year All-American swimming Dan DeMarco won the Cayman Island 5K Open Water Race in the Cayman Island Saturday, Oct. 26. DeMarco won the race with a time of 58:20, more than a minute faster than the runner-up.
