As you have undoubtedly noticed, the Great Neck Record has begun to feature stories about the upcoming elections in each issue. With the help of the editors and staff of our sister Anton publications, we are able to bring you a complete series of comprehensive profiles on each candidate in each election that covers the Great Neck peninsula.
In keeping with our long-standing policy, we do not endorse candidates. Rather, we spend time interviewing each candidate so that our readers will be equipped with the necessary knowledge to make informed decisions come Election Day.
Please do take the time to carefully read about all of the candidates. Our government officials, be they federal, state, county or town officials (no villages hold November elections), all hold positions that directly impact our lives. Their views, their philosophies provide much influence over our quality of life.
So before you cast your ballot on Nov. 5, be sure that you are well informed and that the vote you cast is for the candidate that best reflects your ideals.
Remember, your vote is precious, and it really does count!
