Co-op/Condo Owners Call for Fair Tax Rates
A large contingent of co-op and condominium owners crowded the Sept. 23 Great Neck Public Schools board of education meeting, asking for relief from their high rate of assessed valuation, a rate much higher than residential property, utilities or commercial property.

Run for Their Lives 8K Cross Country Run
October and cross country running are almost synonymous for most runners, and the Third Annual Run for Their Lives Eight Kilometer Cross Country Run is a perfect way for local runners to get in the swing of things. The date is Sunday, Oct. 27, the place is Bethpage State Park, and runners from Great Neck and the rest of Long Island can look forward to an exhilarating morning of running through the beautiful (and runner-friendly) cross country trails that abound in the park.

'Fly With the ANGELS' Four-Mile Run
Runners, walkers and wheelchair athletes of all ages and levels of ability are invited to sign up for the third annual "Fly with the ANGELS" four-mile run on Saturday, Oct. 12, which this year will for the first time be held in the friendly confines of Eisenhower Park.
