Murray Seldin, 91, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Great Neck, died on Aug. 31, 2002. He was born Oct. 24, 1910 in NYC and moved to Sarasota 30 years ago. He was the owner of the Seldin Organization in Jamaica and a member of the National Wildlife Federation. Husband of Anne C. Father of Carole R. Bolinski and Richard. Sister of Abe and Gerson. Tillie Margulies, a long time resident of Great Neck, passed away on Sept. 2, 2002, at the age of 91. She lived for many years on Prospect St. in Thomaston, then moved to Westwoods Rd. in Lake Success. She and her late husband, Ralph, moved to a retirement community in New Jersey 10 years ago. Ralph was a dentist and organic gardener. He passed away in 1996. Tillie Margulies was well known in the Great Neck community. She was a beloved teacher at the Great Neck Community School for over 25 years. When she retired, over 200 people honored her at Leonards. She directed the confirmation class at Temple Emanuel for many years in the 1960s. Tillie and Ralph were involved with numerous intellectual and artistic aspects of Great Neck life in the 45 years they lived here. From her playgroups in Steppingstone Park, to the parents and students who knew her from the Community School, to her innumerable friends, it seemed that almost everyone in Great Neck knew and loved Tillie. She passed away after many years struggling with Parkinson's disease. She is survived by her sons, Fred and Paul; her daughters-in-law Teddy and Leslie; grandchildren Elizabeth, Suzanne, Becky and Lila; and her great-grandson Max. Joseph A. Hazel, of New Hyde Park, died on Sept. 7, 2002. He was the long time companion of the late June Bruce. Dear father of Robert, Karen and Mark. Also survived by three grandchildren. Arrangements were made by the Roslyn Heights Funeral Home. Memorial graveside service at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawn on Sept. 14 at 11 a.m.
