Middle Neck Road Apartments Proposed
The Village of Great Neck heard a formal presentation for a proposed apartment house development for the west side of Middle Neck Road, north from Arrandale Avenue to The Courtyard. The proposal would require that the property be rezoned. At the board of trustees Aug. 20 meeting, Newman Design Group and Lalezarian Developers presented a plan that would include 125 one and two-bedroom units, half of which would be condominiums and half of which would be rental units.

Fifth Annual Community Dog Walk Will Be Biggest Eve
If you love your dog, and love spending time outside, then this is one event you won't want to miss! Back by popular demand, it's the 5th Annual Community Dog Walk to benefit the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind Inc. The event, co-sponsored by the Bank of Smithtown and Cablevision, will be held on Sunday, Oct. 6 at the Flowerfield Fairground in St. James. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the walk begins at 11 a.m.
