Today, Thursday, Aug. 1, is the last day to register for the third annual Long Island Gold Coast Pro-Am Tournament to benefit the United Community Fund of Great Neck and North New Hyde Park. The tennis tournament, presented by Sy Luba Heating and Air Conditioning, is set for Aug. 11.
The tournament, a round robin format for both men and women, will take place at the Wildwood Pool and Tennis Club in Kings Point, starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11.
Tennis pros who have appeared in previous events include David Fischbach, Jimmy Gurfein, Keith Kambourian, Rick Liebman, Adam Mandell, Willie Notar, Scott Seeman, and Ronnie Kahn.
Space is limited. Players must have a minimum rating of 4.0 to play in the tournament. The fee is $150 and each participant will receive a commemorative shirt.
