Solving Plaza Traffic Problems
The peninsula's bustling downtown, the Village of Great Neck Plaza, is about to put its first traffic calming grant to good use, with speed awareness devices, pedestrian awareness devices, and a modern roundabout at Barstow Road. The $353,000 federal government grant is provided via New York State and the village is responsible for funding only 10 percent of the project (in this case about $35,000).

Only Time Will Tell...
Most athletes have the opportunity to finalize their high school track career with some good racing times, and possibly a state appearance, however, for Rob Freeman that will be impossible. Rob has been the cornerstone of the Great Neck South High School Boys Track Program, breaking many school records, winning medal after medal, a multitude of conference, county, state qualifying titles, placing in the top 10 at states on several occasions. He has been ranked as one of the top runners in the country, and was named Athlete of the Year for Nassau County from South High, and received the Nassau Officials "Redmon McKenus" award, among many others.

Great Neck Golfers Play in 23rd Annual LuHigh Invitational
Scott Kaplan (South High senior), Paul Chen (North High senior) and Daniel Frankel (North High freshman) played in the annual Long Island Lutheran all-star tournament on Tuesday May 28 at Tam O'Shanter Country Club.
