Old Village Sets Public Hearings for April 23
The proposed law would change the terms of office for mayor, trustee or police justice from two years to four years. Further, it would disallow someone from running for a consecutive term of office in the same position. So theoretically, someone could serve a four-year term as trustee and then serve a four-year term as mayor or police justice.

The Brotherhood of Temple Beth-El of Great Neck and Maccabi USA-Sports for Israel, will present an informational program on The Jewish Olympics, The Maccabi Games, on Sunday, May 5 at Temple Beth-El of Great Neck. The community is invited to learn more about this extraordinary event and learn how you can participate. The Maccabiah is an Olympic sanctioned competition held in Israel every four years, when Jewish athletes from over 50 countries participate.
